During the most recent Miami Real Estate development boom many high-rise condominium towers were planned and developed on waterfront lots in the Miami Arts District. In the past the area contained single family homes, apartment buildings and a small amount of commercial office buildings. It is the last waterfront neighborhood in Miami to be developed and some of South Florida's most prominent developers including The Related Group are currently pre-selling and constructing some of the tallest residential towers in South Florida.
